Becoming and working as a Wilderness Guide was another step to deepen my knowledge about our environment and further my skills in bush crafting. With my work as a guide I want to share and inspire others about our beautiful planet, especially wild places and show that it is not always just about going on big expeditions, but finding adventures in front of your doorstep as well. I want to give people, you, the chance to get back to the basics, back to nature, back to the roots. I see it as my purpose to take you on a journey, teach you about the outdoors and awaken the awareness of our pursuit of caring for our natural world. Creating a shift from a human doing to a human being and feel the physical and mental health benefits when heading outdoors that you’ll receive in return. If guiding, writing or capturing images - there are a lot of ways to express the connection to nature.

I have teamed up with my wonderful friend Sophie Nolan from Sidetracked Adventures to take you into the Finnish wilderness.
After a successful season 2023 we are ready and happy to welcome you again with new dates in winter 2024. Come and join us a week ski touring the untouched forests in Lapland. It’s a magical and peaceful season and full of unforgettable moments. Sleep in basic wilderness cabins, grill sausages over the open fire, meet like minded people and simply disconnect to connect. One knife for life
That is the vision and philosophy of a Finland based knife making company I am incredible happy to collaborate with. Sharing the same value of consuming less and buying better we want to emphasise that we don’t actually need a lot, only the right stuff.
I ‘ve been using Roselli knives for quite a while already and they are my knives for life. But it’s not just the knife itself, it’s the overall story of the company that I value a lot. All their products are hand crafted using old-school blacksmith techniques in a small workshop in Harmoinen, rural Finland.
The quality and the material have been studied and refined over decades by the founder Heimo Roselli. Dedication and hard work brought a unique type of steel alive: UHC, Ultra High Carbon. Measured 66 UHC, one of the hardest steel qualities in the world. It’s the perfect combination between raw steel and carbon through different processes of hardening, tempering, heating and cooling. The result are ultra sharp and strong, flexible knives. All made by hand. But besides UHC, Roselli offers a wide range of standard carbon steel knives as well.
I have been able to use and test some of their fantastic products over the time and I am truly satisfied. My all time favourite is the UHC Carpenter knife. It has the perfect size for me, requires low maintenance and just gets any job done out in the woods. If your looking into getting your first ever knife, this is a really good choice! It will stick with you for a long time, I promise.

I am a certified Wilderness, Trekking and Outdoor Guide at heart (completed certifications from Germany and Finland) and it makes me extremely happy to take people on a journey, on adventures to wild places! I’ve been guiding in summer and winter for several years, kids and grown ups and I speak German and English fluently. I am based in Finland, but happy to travel abroad as well.
On my trips I want to rise awareness for our environment. Only when you see it with your own eyes, only when you’ve experienced how fragile, vulnerable and beautiful our planet is will you understand the importance of care and protection of it. It is my deep desire to offer people unforgettable memories that changes something within them. That opens and strengthens the connection to nature and themselves. A trip should be a lot of fun, obviously, but I also like to give the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and see yourself growing from that. So you return with long lasting, epic experiences, new knowledge and valuable skills.
